NS 2011 - Final Day

There is an indescribable relief when you've organized a session and you are standing there on the last day realizing that it all went great. The pressure, all the worrying, "have to do this, have to do that" and constantly making sure that everything is running as it should gets to you after a while. So on the last day, when usually most of the officials haven't slept more than 2, maybe 3, hours a night it can get quite funny & weird. Things you'd usually not laugh about suddenly become the funniest thing ever. But hey, that's perfectly OK. All the people around you are laughing at the exact same thing.

It doesn't matter if it's about an unwritten speech, food that hasn't arrived yet or documents that are missing - you are on the last day of the session and you know that since you've made it this far alive you'll be able to solve the rest too. After a few laughs that is.

Just as you were all about to catch our breaths and start acting normal Karlis joins the party with a quote "I'm God", and just like that everyone starts laughing hysterically again.

And that's why (or that's one of the few reasons why) organizing a session is so incredible funny and rewarding.
